We first saw Bico jewelry in Cairns, when Tim visited the store twice deciding on his first piece-The Face of Intensity-along with a chain. He kept us in the store forever looking at the pieces, but we didn't mind because we liked looking as well. Bico jewelry is unique in design, look and feel. It was designed for both men and women. Chains and pendants range from very feminine to very masculine with most going either way. The tribal inspirations, which tell the story of each pendant, are uplifting, fun, funky and ageless. Many are tribal Aboriginal, but others are Celtic, Buddhist and traditional. Once selecting a pendant, choosing the chain or rope to wear it on is easy. We also like the moderate prices ... since Alysia provided a boon to the Australian economy the second she got there and returned home with at least two extra boxes of Australian items, including numerous shirts, sweatshirts, hats, boomerangs, didgeridoo, etc. (Felicia wasn't much better). Tim was the winner because he stayed in Sydney for New years Eve at the harbor bridge. The rest of us returned to the ACT due to Felicia's work requirements (long hours during the week and most weekends-worth every minute just to be there).

I, Tim was the winner on New Year's Eve because I stayed in Sydney to see the fireworks display. Let me tell you, New Years Eve in Australia is the best thing that could happen to a person, at least for a vacation. I was alone in a country that was not mine. I wandered all over sydney looking at all the sights sporting the Bico chain and Pendant I had bought, like it was the only one around. When it was New Years Eve Day I showed up early to the area by my hotel, where the news had been saying would be a good place to observe. The news sayed show up early to get a good spot. I showed up and parked myself in the grass with a good book and a bottle of water around 10:00am. About 3:00pm I realized that the news was wrong and I didn't need to be there so early. Except now lots of people were beginning to show up, I was extremely sunburned, out of water and needed to use a bathroom, but did not want to leave for fear of losing the spot I had endured to sit in all day. Let me tell you the people in Australia are the nicest, fun loving people I have ever met. Three australian people, two ladies and a guy come up to me and asked me if I was alone, and if I was, could there share my spot. I was so relieved, I said yes and introduced myself and excused myself to the bathroom. They were great people to spend New Years Eve with. They even gave me some food and sun screen. It was the greatest New Years Eve I think I will ever expirience.
